Games to Play After You Finished 007: First Light
So you've wrapped IO Interactive's young-Bond origin story, watched the credits roll, and now there's a 007-shaped hole in your evenings. The good news: the things First Light does well — immersive infiltration, dressing up the spy fantasy, systems that reward patience over reflexes — are things other games have been quietly perfecting for years. Here's where to go next.
Hitman: World of Assassination
The obvious one, and you should get it out of the way first. It's made by the same studio, and First Light is essentially Bond built on Agent 47's bones. If you loved scoping a level, finding the one absurd way to slip past a guard, and reloading just to try a cleaner run, this is the purest version of that itch. Start in Paris. Thank me later.
Become Agent 47 in the ultimate spy-thriller adventure across more than 20 locations. Hitman World of Assassination brings together the best of Hitman, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 including the main campaign, contracts mode, escalations, elusive target arcades and Hitman: Freelancer.
Dishonored 2
When you want the same "I am a competent professional in a hostile building" feeling but with more imagination. Karnaca is the best-realized stealth playground ever built, and the clockwork mansion level alone justifies the purchase. Bond never got to stop time and walk through a guard's shadow, but he'd have wanted to.
Arkane Studios, Bethesda Softworks
Dishonored is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. With Dishonored’s flexible combat system, creatively eliminate your targets as you combine the supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal.

Bethesda Softworks
Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2. Declared a “masterpiece” by Eurogamer and hailed “a must-play revenge tale” by Game Informer, Dishonored 2 is the follow up to Arkane’s 1st-person action blockbuster & winner of 100+ 'Game of the Year' awards, Dishonored.
Alpha Protocol
A cult oddity, recently back on storefronts. It's a janky espionage RPG where conversations are a stealth system of their own — every line you pick reshapes who trusts you and who wants you dead. Mechanically rougher than First Light, but no game has ever made you feel like a spy juggling agencies and double-crosses quite like this one.
Loyalty carries a price and no one knows this more than agent Michael Thorton. A talented young agent cast out by his government, Thorton is the only one with the information needed to stop an impending international catastrophe.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
For the tradecraft. Sam Fisher is Bond's grumpier, gadget-heavier cousin, and Blacklist is the series at its most playable. Mark targets, melt into the dark, decide whether tonight you're a ghost or a problem. The fantasy of control that First Light sells is the whole meal here.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
The graduation course. Once you've internalized everything the others taught you, MGSV hands you an open world and dares you to break it. It's the most expensive spy simulator ever made, and it bends to whatever ridiculous plan you bring. Bond would never. Snake always.
Ushering in a new era for the METAL GEAR franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Phantom Pain, will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory both nearly made it — the former for sheer build flexibility, the latter because Chaos Theory is still the genre's high-water mark for level design. Either is a worthy seventh round.
